Adryan Russ (Composer, Co-Lyricist) wrote music and lyrics for the off-Broadway, award-winning Inside Out (co-written with Doug Haverty). Published by Samuel French, it’s played across the U.S. and abroad. The original soundtrack, distributed by DRG Records, is available at PlayworksMusic@aol.com. Her musicals have been performed at The Cherry Lane, The Laguna Playhouse, The Colony Theatre, Phoenix Theatre, and Florida Studio Theatre, among others. Her songwriter CD Everyone Has A Story, produced by Bruce Kimmel, released by LML Music (www.lmlmusic.com), includes vocals by David Burnham, Tami Tappan Damiano, Susan Egan, Jason Graae and Sharon McNight. She was among the first to be commissioned to develop Jack Heifner’s Vanities as a musical, produced at Pomona College. Adryan was commissioned to write and arrange the score for The Ugly Duckling for Theatre West’s Storybook Theatre, and by Native Voices at The Autry to write music and lyrics for Different Does Not Mean the Same by playwright Larissa Fasthorse. The ASCAP/Disney Musical Theatre Workshop featured two of her works: in Los Angeles, Love and Order co-written with Haverty; in Chicago, Ebenezer: Return of the Scrooge co-written with Keith Huff. An ASCAP songwriter and Academy of New Musical Theatre alumnus, she serves on the board of The Society of Composers & Lyricists. Her song “Is It Me?” co-written with Joel Evans (www.cinemasters.com) appears in the movie Doubt.
